Sally Hansen Salon Effects

Hello lovelies!

So the other day I purchased the Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail strips...you know, the ones with the funky colors that promise to last ten days...well I put them on tonight, and goodness, I have never had a more difficult time doing my own nails!  It isn't the application of the nail polish strip to the nail but filing off the excess pieces of the strip that makes the application difficult.  I followed the instructions to the T, but at the tops of my nails the strips don't seem to be sticking as firmly as I would like.  I can't use the tops of my nails as well as I would like to without seeing the tips of the nail polish strips peel back from my nails.

Sally Hansen Salon Effects in "All Laced Up", $8 at Target Stores

Regardless, I do like the look of these nail polish strips.  I purchased the "All Laced Up" for $8 at Target, and by cutting each strip in half before I applied it to my nails, I can get two applications out per package...that means $4 per manicure.  I guess we'll just have to see how long it lasts for!

If you have a comment or any helpful advice on this, let me know! :)

Love,
Missy

Shoe Club!

Let me start by saying Oh Goodness, I haven't written in forever!  I'm not sure why, since I've been actively out and about shopping and whatnot...anyways, I just read about something I love a lot!  It's called ShoeDazzle, and it's a Shoe Club of the month!  You know like those boring wine clubs or cheese clubs, but this one is shoes!  Each month they send you a pair of shoes for only $33...it's like the best invention ever.  And even better is that your shoes are picked by stylists like Kimmy K...here's a look at the fabulous shoes in my showroom this month:

Ieva Shoe
Dottie Shoe
Rumi Shoe
Danelle Shoe
Zelina Shoe
These shoes are so cute and this shoe club is a fabulous idea.  The site is wonderful, and if you don't have the funds to update your shoe closet each month or you aren't thrilled with what's in your personalized show room, you always have the option to skip it.  What could be better?

Happy shopping!
xoxo,
Missy

Graduation Party Dresses!

Hello Ladies,

As many of you are probably aware, it's graduation season!  My very own little brother is graduating tomorrow (I'm so excited!) and in honor of that, I thought I would put together a little something on my favorite graduation party dresses.  These little babies, all from Mod Cloth, feature my favorite, ultra flattering silhouette, the A-line skirt!  I love this style, because it balances out your top and bottom halves, making you look perfectly proportional--that means whether you're stick thin or have a bit of a curve, this dress is perfect for you.
Mod Cloth Dresses
I love the feminine, girly feel these dresses have.  The pale colors are soft and romantic, while the bold colors are cheery and festive.  You can't go wrong with one of these.

Happy Graduation Days!

Love,
Missy

Beachy Beauty

Hello lovelies,

It is raining/snowing here in my beautiful Colorado, but that doesn't stop me from dreaming about the upcoming summer weather.  I was at Ulta today with my gal pal, browsing around and we found the most amazing line of cosmetics from Cargo...it's all I want to wear this summer.  The first set is four mini eye liners in gorgeous summer shades.  The other set comes with a full-sized mascara, a mini lip gloss, mini eye liner and a full-sized blush (and the best part!) a small cosmetic bag that looks like a post card!

Cargo Swimmable Waterproof Eyeliner, Ulta ($19)
Cargo Mediterranean Collection, Ulta ($34)
I hope it's sunnier where you're at!

Missy

Hippie Couture

Hello lovelies,

I'm in love with this 70s trend that's making a comeback!  I've spent all winter with my jeggings tucked into my knee high boots, and I must say, I'm ready for a change!  I can't wait to get myself into a pair of flair legged jeans some funky prints and patterned cork heels.  This is my take on the look, a little glamorous but a little funky.  Let me know what you think!

Love,
Missy
